Canvas'

I was totally inspired by Jeanne Olivers online class that I am taking, she does some really lovely subtle backgrounds, very different to my normal! She did one canvas using a magazine picture but it reminded me of one of my wedding photos

So I used this to make the below canvas.
The netting was a pain to stick down! The quote is a few lines from a poem my brother read at our wedding.
So the rest of the painting is going well and I have sold quite a few at a local craft shop! Very exciting. Here are a few of my recent favourites

Finally Scrapping again!

Had a fab time at Sue's on Sat, got the scrap bug back! I had several month's worth on Cocoa Daisy kits sat at home untouched so I took those and wanted to just scrap! Nothing too complicated or detailed just get back into scraping, and I did!! I used Oct, Nov, Dec and Jan CD kits, some mists, paint, texture paste and stencils.

I can really see how my love of mixed media is influencing my scrapping!

Will's Harry Potter Party

For Will's 7th Birthday he wanted a Harry Potter party. Well as I also love HP I was all for it. And after much internet searching (thank you Pinterest!) Here is what we ended up with!
Platform 9 3\4 brickwall door
Spell and potion books
Wands
Sorting Hat ceremony
Potions class
"Great Hall" with banners and floating candles
HoneyDukes sweet shop
Birthday cake (Harry's scar, layered in Gryffindor colours)
Owl Party gifts (all handmade by me! pattern is from Snowybliss)
We played pass the dragon egg, pin the scar on Harry and stupyfy and imobilus (musical bumps and statues!)

Each child had a broom and a cape, we made quills and played Quiditch.
I had sooo much fun and I think the kids did too.
Next year? bowling!

Painting and thrifting!

So I did some more painting, trying something different. Problem is I liked them too much so now I am keeping them!

These 2 were presents.

I was inspired by Lisa and her thrifting! So I brought some tea cups

That are now cupcake stands!

Old cake stand

Spray paint

New stamp holder!

This could get addicted!
