Altered Book Page 2!!!

Here's is page 2! This is about my love of Lilly Allen's current single "The Fear" I LOVE IT!
So this one I tried to do a collage, painting, stamping and a ribbon ruffle! Not quite how I imagined it - but I had fun and I am learning!

First Altered book Page!

So I have had my first go at creating an altered book. I decided to make it all about my favourite things - my first thought was the photo of the rainbow I took last week

I really enjoyed it! I look foward to doing more! Watch this space

Bad Girls Jan09

Here are two LO's using the Jan Bad girls kit. I didn't really like the kit that much when I first rec'd it but thanks to the DT and their inspiration I am quite pleased with these 2!
I also found ANOTHER challenge blog and this first LO was for one of their challenges

Still hurting: LO about the bad week I had about Mum, how I feel 18mths on.

Yin and Yang:LO about Mike and I, and how he balances my bad points! He is laid back when I worry, he saves and I spend!

52Q

Found this challenge by Emily Falconbridge - 52 Qn's and then make little tags of art! I was going to use tags and then I found these coasters instead!
Each of the tags have the journalling on the back - just got to write that bit now!
Q1: wishes for 2009
Journalling reads:
1: Keep losing weight
2: Get into art journalling
3: Be the best wife and Mum I can be
4: Enjoy life

Q2: Am I afraid of Change
Journaling reads:
Not really! Sometimes change is good, I do think a change can be as good as a rest, even if it is little changes. It might take me a while to relax into a new situation but I am not afraid to try or give it a chance

Q3: Do I believe in fairiesJournalling reads:I don't know! I used to believe in the tooth fairy, but now as an adult my "Rational" head says no, but there is the other side of me that loves the magical and mythical so who knows!

Q4: When I look into my eyes, I see ...?Journalling reads:I see firstly the boys, but that is because they have my eyes! Deeper I see a sensitive soul, who thinks too much and worries too much but cares and loves alot. I see pain and hurt, maybe more than my 33 years should have seen but it makes me who I am

Christmas Mini Book

Made this mini book for my Christmas Mini book using the Christmas kit from Bad Girls. I put the stickers on chipboard and raised them on foam pads and used the bigger ones as extra pages

JYC Finished

Also finally finished my JYC, I stopped at New years Day. Here are some of the pages

365 Days 2009 Wk 1 & 2

I really enjoyed Anna's 365 project last year, and I have got used to taking a photo every day. With JYC I took general photos of each day too - which was good as there was no thinking envolved! Anyway I saw an article in CK magazine about Becky Higgins 365 Project so I decided to give that ago! Becky provided some free downloads (she has made a paper kit in the states)

So here are the first 2 weeks! Really hope I can keep it up

Bauble Stories mini book

I put this little chinese decoration on the tree every year when I was growing up, Mum gave it to me but she can't remember where it came from. I want the boys to choose a new decoration every year, and I know in years to come we won't rememeber the stories behind them all so I decided to make a mini book that record the history of each of the special baubles on my tree.

365 Day Challenge 362 to 366 THE END

I can't believe it has been 366 days already! I can'r believe I kept up with it either!
I have had a great time, learnt to take better photos, learnt to be happier in front of a camera but most importantly I have made some brilliant friends, thanks to the 365'ers and mostly thanks to Anna, for a great challenge and everything it has brought me.

Prompt 366: My Way

Prompt 365: Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain Prompt 363: Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world Prompt 363: Rest is not a matter of doing absolutely nothing. Rest is repair Prompt 362: Things are beautiful if you love them
