365 Day Challenge - 49

Prompt 49: Sound of music - Have been thinking about Mum alot and this song means alot to me. Below are the lyrics, it's from the film Calender Girls.
I'll catch your smile on someone's face
Your whisper in the wind's embrace
Through diamond stars and songs and dreams
I find your love in everything

The sun, the sky, the rolling sea
All conspire to comfort me
From sorrow's edge life's beauty seems
To find your love in everything

I've come to trust the hope it bring
To find your love in everything.
Even as I fall apart,
Even through my shattered heart
I'll catch your smile on someone's face

Hurting

My brother is having a bad day and he has written this poem, It is so beautiful and heart wrenching all in one go and I wanted to share it. I hate that he is hurting and I know I can't help, love you xxx

Cut me, and I would bleed for you
Push me, and I would fall for you
Place me on a ledge, and I would jump for you

But it won’t bring you back.

I could cry out loud for you
Thrash around and shout for you
Sit silently and stew for you

But it won’t bring you back

Let the tears fall, and let the sobs choke
Let the pain hurt me,
let my heart be broke

Because I can’t bring you back

And it was! So today's photo was easy!

Quote

Saw this quote on someones blog (can't rememebr who now!) apartently it was by Billy Bob Thornton to Angelina Jolie after the death of her Mum. Just struck a cord with me

"You'll never get over it. It's never going to be ok, and once you accept that, you realise you never want to get over it. Just kind of let it sit with you and let it be a part of who you now are."

365 Day Challenge - 43

(Will's not been punched in the eye he's got conjunctivitis!)Here I am wearing Mum's necklace that she brought in Tiffany's in New York when we went in 2005, We had such a fab time and Mum adored New York and we were going to go back this year, sadly that won't happen now. (my ring is also from Tiffany's brought on the same trip).
Playing with the DOF again - tried to get just the necklace in focus

Some LO's

So I am trying to catch up with the boys scrapbooks - I've got photos from 2006 that I still need to scrap and Ollie's book is looking very thin! I really feel the need to keep them up to date. Also I am trying to actually use some of the monthly kits I get instead of just looking at them!! These first 2 are using the Bad Girls Nov kit - they are a little bit out of my normal comfort zone but I quite like the results.
