Bad Girls Oct kit and Rough Draft

Fay pointed me in the direction of a new sketch site Rough Draft. So I have used their latest kit with my Oct Bad Girl kit for a Halloween LO, early I know but Will had a Halloween party on Friday.

Thanks again to Lisa for the inspiration to distress the edges with scissors (not as easy as she made it look!)

365 Day Challenge 300

Prompt 300: Best Bib and tucker.
I love this dress, Mike brought it for me for a cocktail party we had before the kids. I love the knot at the back and the fish tail on the skirt. (and it still fits me, and it's a 14!!!! though I would need some Bridget Jones pants! hence the angle of the photo!!!)

Just Bex Challenge

Lisa and Nicky set the challenge over on Just Bex to have fun with felt. Used the Bad girls Sept08 kit, the clouds behind the photos are white felt painted with peral paint.

Journalling is about the boys first flight. Thanks also to Lisa for inspiring me to use corragated card on a LO

Prompt 291: I don't think I will ever get tired of wearing pink I never used to like pink as a young girl and it is really inly in the last 5 years or so that I have started wearing, and it is only when I do a "pink" wash that I realise how much I do now have!!

Where: North Hants Hospital
Why: Because grand parents like to meet their grandchildren as soon as they can!

"I will always remember the looks on Mum and Dad's faces when they came to the hospital to meet Will. Dad was trying really hard not to cry and Mum just let the tears flow! Mike filmed it all and put this song over the top, it just fights perfectly and makes me cry every time I watch it."

Challenge 4: Create LO from sketch and use a quote
Tried to fit the sketch to a 6x12, Quote is "There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved"

Spent a lovely day with Lisa (Funky Fair), only managed 1 LO though! Lisa did several - her LO's are jsut FAB, she inspired me to paint on my photo and I and going to use some corregagted card on a LO too!

Her craft room is to die for!

One of my team Mates on UKS has started a challenge set by Rhonda (of OLW fame) it's been running since feb so we are a little behind! But I love the look of the book. It's all about TIME and each week she sets a word and you follow the same forumla

Last word was AUTUMN (well, Fall)

So I going to keep going and hopefully catch up!

Scrapping from the inside out - Joy

So this months theme is Joy, and here are my LO's for the challenges

Pre-Kit Challenge - scrap a page about Joy using the colour that brings you joy

I glued lots of different chipboard fonts to the card and then painted over them all. I then journalled on some of them about the various things that bring me joy

Challenge 1: Scrap your guilt pleasure and use your scrapbook guilty pleasure.

Mine is Champagne and my scrapbook one is Thickers

Challenge 2: Scrap someone who brings you joy that is not your kids, spouse, pet etc

I love "Friends" it will alsways cheer me up

Challenge 3: Scrap someone who brings you joy, but you must be in the photo with them

Couldn't think of one so made a mini book

There was also a "progessive" challenge, where we were given 4 seperate tasks but spread out over time and you weren't allowed to look at the next stage until you had finished the previous one - IYSWIM!

Stage1: create a background using at least 3 PP or CS

Stage2: Add photos with at least one repeated

Stage3: Add title/journalling based on "Happiness is ..."

Stage4: Embellish but you must use 5 of the same thing.
